A few days before the negotiations started in Geneva Assad intensified the bombing of rebel-held areas both in Damascus and in Idlib. In an attempt to disrupt negotiations Assad intensified the military actions in the opposition-held areas in the outskirts of Damascus. This is done to put the coalition delegations under pressure and force them to pull out of the talks.
In an effort orchestrated by the Iranian regime and its affiliated militia to sabotage the political procedure, the IRGC is boosting its military attacks in Damascus suburb. Iranian regime’s militias, IRGC, prevent humanitarian aid from reaching there and have intensified bombing and shelling of the besieged areas in an attempt to force the residents to leave their homes, similar to what is happening in Sarghaya.
Eastern goutha a suburb of Damascus has been under heavy chemical attacks by Assad and his thugs, this is a known stronghold of the opposition and has been under heavy bombardment since the start of the civil war. The bombing of the area has increased in recent days due to the peace talks in Geneva.
Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister, Adel al-Jubeir said in his speech in Munich that Iran was propping up the government of Syrian president Bashar al-Assad and that the Iranian regime was destabilizing the whole region. The Turkish foreign minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, concurred with the Saudi FM and added: “Iran wants to make Syria and Iraq Shiite” he also accused Iran of actions that had undermined security in the region and urging Tehran to promote stability. Erdogan has also in recent weeks accused Iran of promoting a “Persian nationalism” that had damaged the middle east.
A member of the Syrian National Coalition stated “Geneva talks should be focused on transfer of power in Syria as this is an issue that could most likely resolve all other issues on the table, including terrorism. We believe that resuming political talks would be somewhat futile.”
The NCRI press conference on 14. February 2017 was for the main purpose to expose the terrorist actions of the IRGC and the Iranian clerical regime. The NCRI has evidence of centers where IRGC is training foreign terrorist groups. This is the first time such information is made public.
The Quds force ‘s HQ is located at the Imam Ali military base, approximately 20 kilometers of the Tehran-Karaj highway. The site is comprised of a large complex housing several IRGC garrisons including the Imam Ali garrison. The logistics section of the Imam Ali Garrison called the Mostafa Khomeini Garrison is located separately and has a separate entrance and exit. The Iranian resistance has so far identified 14 training centers belonging to the directorate. 8 of these camps are located in Tehran. The Imam Ali Garrison is the main terrorist training camp for foreign nationals.
One of the heads of this unit is the Quds force commander Qassem Soleimani who is committing war crimes in Syria. it is known that Soleimani was part of the genocide that took place in Aleppo.
In 2015 Guardian Rahimi was the unit commander he was present in Lebanon aiding the Hezbollah. From 2014 Khan was the vice commander of the corps, training management unit in the countries in the region. He was previously stationed in Syria, he was killed in Aleppo.
The maps over this training centers show us that this is a matter to be taken seriously by the world leaders, this must call for actions against IRGC and they must be listed on the Blacklist.
There is no secret that the training centers are vital to IRGC ‘s terrorist actions in Syria, Yemen and Iraq. In recent years the IRGC has brought a number of its agents from Venezuela, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia to the Imam Ali Garrison. Terrorist units of the Quds force are dispatched to countries in the Persian gulf area, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
The NCRI has confirmed information of the IRGC’s terrorist actions, and this must be taken seriously by all world leaders, the IRGCmust be expelled from the region, only then can there be peace and tranquillity in the region.
In the light of the announced NCRI press conference to expose the IRGC’s terrorist training camps, it is important to shed light on the actions of the Iranian regime that earns them a place on the US blacklist. The latest addition to the crimes committed by the IRGC is a missile test. Iran is strictly forbidden to have any missiles that can carry a nuclear warhead but Iran disregards those sanctions and is developing and testing missiles anyway.
The US reactions on this breach of agreement was that of sharp condemnation and described the action as provocative and irresponsible. The US ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, say this is absolutely unacceptable and we will act accordingly….. we will be loud. The State Departments Spokesman Mark Toner said in a statement on Tuesday that the US is well aware of and deeply troubled by Iran’s longstanding provocative and irresponsible activities. He also added that it would be wise of Iran to fully implement UN resolution 2231. Which is not part of the nuclear deal but “calls upon Iran not to undertake any activity related to ballistic missiles designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons, including launches using such ballistic missile technology.”
The US reaction to this action from the Iranian regime must be hard and unmistakable. The regime and their mercenaries IRGC must be blacklisted.
The IRGC’s acts of terror are still growing they have no respect for human life or rights and must be treated accordingly. It is important that IRGC is put on the blacklist but just as important to sanction any deals with Iran. There must be no loopholes in the sanctions and the punishment on those who strikes a deal with Iran must be severe. It is of utmost importance that the crimes of the IRGC are exposed and that there will be consequences.
According to Al Arabia staff writer, the new administration in Washington is considering new sanctions on Iran because of their actions in Iraq, and Syria and causing instability in the whole middle east region. It is said they are studying several aspects for the sanctions, which one includes the Iran’s Islamic revolutionary guards corps and their meddling in other countries in the region. It is also said that there will be a proposition of putting the IRGC on the list of terrorist organisations alongside the Muslim brotherhood. The next step may be to impose sanctions on Iran for its support to some terrorist groups. The official added the White House could revoke the nuclear deal to punish Tehran for its support to groups in the middle east such as the Lebanon’s Hezbollah and the Houthis in Yemen besides other Shiite organisations in Iraq.
The Iranian resistance welcomes new sanctions on the Iranian regime. While the NCRI welcomes the new sanctions, the need for additional sanctions on the IRGC and other entities involved in suppression, terrorism and fundamentalism must be recognised
Imposing sanctions is a step in the right direction to confront the illegitimate and terrorist dictatorship that is responsible for 120 000 political executions. It is imperative that comprehensive sanctions be imposed on the IRGC, its affiliated entities, the Iranian ministry of intelligence, and other entities involved in suppression and export of terrorism
After the change of president in the USA, it is time to take a look at the future for Iran. Will the new administration take this opportunity to bring forth a change of regime in Iran?
By supporting the Iranian resistance the new president has a great opportunity to change the whole middle east. It is a known fact that it is the regime in Iran that is behind most of the war crimes committed in Yemen, Iraq, and Syria. to bring forth a change it is of utmost importance that the new administration does not repeat the mistakes of the Obama administration regarding Iran. The appeasement policy of Obama led to no visible change for the Iranian population quite the opposite, the rate of wrongful imprisonment and executions has risen at an alarming rate. It also gave the regime free hands to enter the war in Syria where they committed genocide on innocent Syrians
The best option for Iran at this point will be PMOI/ MEK this resistance group has a 10 point plan that is based on the human rights bill.
The clerical regime has no place in the future of Iran, Iran deserves to get peace and democracy, that will be impossible with the current regime. it is important that the world recognizes the wishes of the Iranian people and support the resistance in its work to make Iran into a peaceful, free and democratic state. The resistance has been firm that they will work to create a good relationship with Iran’s neighbors, it is in the best interest of the middle east region that the clerical regime is removed from power. Removal of the regime in Iran will create a ripple effect over the whole region that will give peace to Yemen, Iraq, and Syria.
The Regimes human rights violations are long overdue and the lack of democratic legitimacy should indicate that the regime has no role in the future Iran. Iran has the highest number of executions per capita 3000 people have been executed, many women and juveniles since Hassan Rouhani came to power in 2013 this is not an internal matter and should not go unnoticed by the rest of the world. The US is together with the rest of the world legally bound by the international bill of human rights. America’s commitment to universal principals is not negotiable.
In the future NCRI must have a vital role this to ensure that the revolution is for the best of the Iranian people and in the best interest of the whole region. It is time to let the youth of Iran show what they can do, which will be at best interests of the country. In order to rebuilt Iran, there must be a total renovation of the government and the separation of state and church is a must. The current regime has proven that the church is a bad state manager and that the mullahs have no place I the government of a future Iran. Another important issue is the role of the women In a future Iran, women must be given the same opportunities as the men and must be allowed pursue a career if they wish to do so.
After the occupation of wadi Barada Assad is doing what he did in Aleppo, forced displacement, residents are forced to evacuate to Idlib province. This will make it very easy for Assad to get rid of his opposition, he is detaining all opposition in Idlib. If he starts carpet bombing the area he will kill hundreds of rebels with each bomb. He is making the rebels into sitting ducks and the world let it happen.
Lately, the Russians have understood what is needed to protect innocent civilians and is very strict about upholding the ceasefire in Syria. one of the rogue armies operating in Syria is the IRGC, they will not give up the chance to make a puppet out of Assad, they need Syria on their side to maintain the land corridor to be able to ship weapons to the Hezbollah in Lebanon. Iran has no use for a Syria in peace, they need the war to be ongoing to turn eyes away from the atrocities they are committing to their own people. the Iranian regime has up until now shown no respect for the ceasefire and has continuously attacked the civilians in the valley.
Prior to the crises IRGC had 2-3000 officers present in Syria to uphold supply routes to Hezbollah, but at present, there are ca. 70 000 Iranian soldiers on Syrian soil. The main reason Iran is fighting in Syria is that if there is a peace agreement signed the war of IRGC will have to be fought in the cities of Iran. The soldiers of IRGC has been behind some of the worst war crimes committed in Syria like genocide in Aleppo and now the slaughter of civilians in wadi Barada. There will be no peace in Syria unless IRGC is evicted from Syria.
To make sure that the world would not know what he was doing to the civilians in wadi Barada Assad cut the internet and electricity to the valley. The Syrian army claims they liberated the valley, newsflash idiot army if they wanted to be liberated, why do they need to be forced out of the valley now? The worst part is that the world press believes Assad’s version of the story. They do not wonder for one second about the reason why the revolution started in the first place. To understand that we must go back to 2011 when 13-year-old Hamza was tortured to death by Assad’s prison guards. People started to protest in the streets with roses in their hands, Assad responded with bullets. More people was arrested and tortured to death. This eventually forced people to defend themselves against Assad’s thugs. And the civil war was a fact. Since that Assad’s propaganda machine has worked day and night to justify the bombing of hospitals, schools, and kindergartens. He has also succeeded in another lie that all who are against him is terrorists. Unfortunately, most of the world believe the lies of Assad and his allies.
It remains to be seen what Assad is doing to fix the water supply to Damascus or if he leaves it polluted until all of Damascus is cleared of rebels?
And how will he deal with the remaining population in Wadi Barada? Will he do as he has done in Aleppo? There is still people unaccounted for after the “liberation” of Aleppo. I suspect that Assad will concentrate on killing the remaining rebels in Idlib to make sure that the revolution is stopped.
In Astana Russia, turkey and USA safe-sones have been set, but there is one problem, not Assad nor the rebels has signed any agreement and for the agreement to be effective those two sides need to sign. IRGC and the Syrian army will continue the fight because both armies know that if they stop the war the days of both regimes are numbered.
